This policy covers the ProductPulse Chrome extension (“the extension”) and this website, including the free product checker (“the website”). ProductPulse is run by Miguel Fernandes, an individual based in Portugal (EU), who is the data controller. Contact: productpulse.support@gmail.com.
In short: the extension works inside your browser and doesn't send your browsing to us. We have no user accounts and no database of users. Payments for Pro go through ExtensionPay and Stripe. The website only loads Google Analytics if you accept it.
1. The Chrome extension
What it reads
The extension can run on any website so that it can recognise AliExpress product pages and Shopify product pages, since Shopify stores use their own domains. On other pages it does nothing. On a product page it reads the listing date, review count, rating and order count from the page itself.
What it stores, and where
Everything below is stored by your browser, on your device. We can't access it.

Uninstalling the extension deletes this data.
What it sends, and to whom
- The Shopify store you're viewing. On a Shopify product page, the extension requests that store's public product data (
/products/<handle>.js) from the same store, like the page itself does. - ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com). The extension checks your Pro status with ExtensionPay. If you buy Pro or log in, ExtensionPay collects your email address and processes the payment through Stripe. ExtensionPay and Stripe act under their own privacy policies. We receive your email and payment status from them, but never your card details.
The extension doesn't send your browsing history, the pages you visit or the products you view to us or to anyone else.
Feedback form
The extension links to a Google Form for feedback. If you choose to use it, Google processes what you submit and we receive it. Only include what you're comfortable sharing.
Emailing us
Our support inbox, productpulse.support@gmail.com, is hosted by Google (Gmail). Messages sent to support@getproductpulse.app are forwarded there by Cloudflare Email Routing. We use your message and address only to reply, and we delete them when they're no longer needed.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We don't sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it for anything other than the extension's features.
2. The website
The free product checker
When you paste a link, it is sent to our server function, which fetches that store's public product data and the product page, then returns the result to you. We don't save the links you check or the results.
Hosting
The website runs on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This relies on our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Google Analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. It loads only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics isn't loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and collects data such as the pages you visit, the approximate location derived from your IP, and your device and browser type. Google Analytics 4 doesn't store IP addresses. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Your cookie choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every page.
3. International transfers
Google, Cloudflare, ExtensionPay and Stripe may process data outside the EU, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, ask for data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Email productpulse.support@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt), or to the authority in your own country.
5. Children
ProductPulse is a business tool and isn't directed at children under 16.
6. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top of this page.
